Crop Post-Harvest Compendium (CD-ROM) Compendium information concerning the management by NRIL of the operation and experiences gained in the DFID Crop Post-Harvest Programme. The CPHP began in 1995 and ended in 2006. During that period it commissioned some 155 research projects. These addressed post-harvest constraints and opportunities identified in national agricultural research strategies and through participatory needs assessments. The projects developed and disseminated a wide range of technologies, protocols, strategies and policy recommendations and represented an investment of £24 million across five livelihood themes: market access; processing; storage; food safety; and institutional arrangements for technical innovation. The CPHP has produced over 1,880 dissemination outputs since 1995. Of these, 274 were published in peer reviewed publications. |
